Glad It's Not Smarch
I don't know what to write, but I want to write something...
Came down with something pretty bad this week, stomach flu or food poisoning. Had to miss work (which I did NOT want to do) and the first Tuesday concert at St. Mary's in Kenosha (which I REALLY wanted to be at). Ah well.
Happy New Year! New Year's Eve was EXCELLENT. Went to Eric's house in Kenosha with a dozen-plus others, watched the Packers game from a projector, and then about half of us went to midnight Mass at St. Lucy's (set up just for us). Now, a good chunk present were teenagers (us 20-somethings were chaperones). I'll tell you, these teens' faith just blows my mind. They didn't want to leave after Mass was over! I felt truly humbled after that night. Thank God for them.
I contacted an old friend from high school, Jennifer, this week. It's good to hear from her. This brings the total people I hear from from high school to............. 1. Eh, high school feels like it happened in some other lifetime. Well, 4 years ago does too, but hey, who's counting?
I took a big risk today, and I'm glad I did. One of the hardest things I've ever done. Sure felt a great deal of peace afterwards though. The results though, are inconclusive. I may have to do it again tomorrow (cryptic: some things just don't get publicly broadcast... uhh... anymore).
Sunday should be a good day. A priest is coming to our parish, St. Sebastian's, from Illinois to celebrate a healing Mass and service. Those in the know have high expectations. I pray that many will be healed of what afflicts them, in Jesus Christ's Name. Amen.
Ok, sleep is needed now.
